Europe - Dublin
Lindsey and I left Edinburgh at 6 am. I passed out on the flight due to my need to take mass quantities of dramimine in order to not get motion sick and when I woke up we were not in Dublin as we thought we would be but mid-flight we were diverted to Liverpool. After a brief time sitting on the runway there we took off and finally landed in Dublin two hours later than we were supposed to. While getting to Dublin was a difficult task, falling in love with Dublin and Ireland was quite the opposite.
When we landed we met up with Lindsey's friend's Chris, Zane, Marcus, and Charlie who also happened to be jaunting around Europe. We left the airport and went to their friend Colm's house who was gracious enough to host us through the weekend. First thing on the to do list was food and Guiness (which I skipped out on). We then hopped on a hop on, hop off tour and wandered around the city. St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College were some of the highlights. That night Colm took us out to some traditional Irish pubs and some not so traditional Irish clubs...
The next day we took a tour down to Wicklow National Park which will be my next Europe blog post since it was too beautiful not to give it's own post to.
The next day we toured the Guiness factory and watched a traditional Irish sport called Hurling at a local pub. It was exactly the same as a football game in the south...girls in their cute outfits in their team's colors and drunk boys screaming at a television. My favorite way to spend a Saturday!
I called it a night early and said goodbye to Lindsey and the boys as my flight to Paris was at 5:30 the next morning...

Europe - Arthur's Seat
Our last day in Edinburgh Lindsey, Bianca, Isobel, Sammy and I climbed - excuse me HIKED - to the top of Arthur's Seat. Arthur's Seat is a mountain that is a five minute walk from Edinburgh Castle. The hike up was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be but the view from the top was worth every drop of sweat.
While standing at the top I couldn't help but feel so grateful for the life I've been given and my friends and family. I hope y'all are enjoying traveling around Europe with me, we've got a couple more places to see...

Here are some of my favorite products for the homebody, or anyone, in your life:
10. Printed Leggings
11. Snowflake Throw

Europe - Edinburgh
I took the train from London to Edinburgh and met Lindsey at my hostel. The train ride was only four hours and was so beautiful. The first stop on our tour of the city was Edinburgh Castle, which sits on a mountain at the very top of the main road in Edinburgh which is appropriately named The Royal Mile. While inside, we had incredible views of the city, saw the crown jewels of Scotland, and so much more.
After the castle we wandered down The Royal Mile until we found The Heart of Midlothian, a heart built into the road in stone outside of the Church of St. Giles. Locals say if you spit on the Heart it will bring you good luck and being the superstitious sap that I am, I happily partook in this tradition.
We took a bus down to an area called The Shore and ate at a wonderful little cafe called Mimi's and wandered down there for a while. The bus system in Edinburgh is awesome, reasonably priced, and very easy to navigate.
That night we met two awesome girls in our hostel, Bianca and Isobel. They are from Australia and had been traveling around for a couple of months. The next morning we met up with them and started exploring. The first stop, The Elephant House, where J.K. Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter. We had hot chocolate and took in the views of Edinburgh castle. From there we went to a cemetary which it is rumored houses many famous Harry Potter character's names. J.K. Rowling actually would walk around this cemetary when she had writer's block and a lot of the character's names were taken from gravestones there.
To say I feel in love with Edinburgh and Scotland is an understatement. Up next was a hike up Arthur's Seat which will be the next post in the Europe series...

Europe - Bath and Stonehenge
Bath is one of my favorite cities that I got to experience on this trip. The city itself was beautiful and so historic that I fell in love in the four short hours we were there. My last day in Europe my friend Eva and I took a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. Unfortunately for us, on the bus ride out of London the rain that had been holding off for the last two weeks decided to pour down on us. Being at Stonehenge is incredible but being at Stonehenge in the freezing rain when you are dressed for a sunny 70 degree day is miserable. Needless to say we took the shuttle to the site, ran as close as we could get, took a picture, took a selfie and sprinted back to the warm bus. When we got back to the visitor's center, hot pastys and hot chocolate were exactly what the doctor ordered. We then got back on the tour bus and made our way towards Bath. The views on the way were incredible. It was so beautiful and picturesque I don't know how anyone lives there and doesn't just sit and stare out the windows. Once we got to Bath we ran to Primark to stock up on some cold, dry clothes. Since was my last opportunity to do some Primark shopping I kind of lost it. Our next stop in Bath was the Jane Austin center, one of my favorite authors. After that we just wandered around the town, grabbed some lunch, and listened to the numerous musicians playing on the street. While some say Stonehenge is a bit underwhelming make sure you add Bath as a list of cities to see while in England. It was a short trip from London and definitely worth it!

Game Day Outfits
If you had told me when I was growing up in New York that I would love football as much as I do now I would have laughed in your face. But almost ten years after moving to Texas I love football as much as I love BBQ and crawfish. I'm going to my see my college, Texas Tech, play Baylor University at Cowboy's stadium in Dallas in three weeks and I could not be more excited! I haven't been to a game since I graduated. One thing y'all need to know is that southern girls do not wear jeans and t shirts to football games. Whip out your pearls, dresses, and boots y'all cause it's game day in the south...
I love game day outfits like this because if I just swap out the boots (or not...I do live in Texas after all) I can also wear it to work!

Gift Guide #1 - For the Beauty Lover
Hey y'all!
It is the most wonderful time of the year! Not only is the holiday season beginning but today marks the start of the Sephora VIB sale. If you are a VIB you can get 20% off the entire website. Since that starts today I thought there was no better time to share my first holiday gift guide with you. This one is for the beauty lover in your life:
I am obsessed with both of those makeup bags and some of my friends might be getting them as their holiday gifts. The Sephora gift sets are perfect because it opens them up to some products they may not have tried before. Plus who doesn't love a good mini! Perfect to grab and throw in your bag in a rush or for traveling. The Ole Henrikson Mask is my favorite mask of all time. I do not know how many of these I have gone through and I highly recommend it! The NARS Cheek Palette and Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette are amazing basics that are always needed and appreciated.
Hope this helps y'all in your holiday shopping! What are you most excited about getting this year??
